A series of web banner illustrations for frequent community events at a co-working space in Zurich. The web banners are colour coded based on different event formats. 

The African Innovation Foundation (AIF) is a Swiss based non-profit Organisation focused on empowering Africa to move forward with an innovate spirit. Their areas of activity encompass innovative programs in the fields of access to technologies, law and governance, and social impact development. The Foundation seeks to establish co-operation platforms for institutions, investors and innovators, and to promote ideas to support them.
 
This project is the AIF's value proposition made visual - an innovation factory - depicting design thinking and incorporating the values of the organisation through a linear process

Too often charity work is seen as poverty's superhero and we forget to treat the cause instead of the symptoms. This book - somewhere between a journal, an anthology and a stream of consciousness - aims to bring the lives of identifiable victims and their suffering to those who have not yet had the patience to be directly involved in a social development programme. With specific emphasis on SHAWCO Education, a student run non-profit organisation, these pages were made to expose the truth.

This publication was written and illustrated by myself, as the creative aspect of my honours thesis.

The Impact Hub Zürich hosts a speed networking event. This is the event banner design. 

Part of IHZ is a community of people with diverse interests, areas of expertise, goals and ideals. In order for members to meet other's at the Hub and find out what they do, IHZ launch this efficient and fun way to meet the maximum number of Impact Hub members.

Broken toilets is an online magazine about global development and culture. 

I have been involved with design, illustration and visual communication for the magazine leading up to their launch on 29 February 2016 - including video editing, social media visual communication and illustration projects.

Social Impact Project Angola (SIPA) promotes knowledge and information sharing on social development in Angola through fostering growth and equity in 5 key areas - health, education, water and sanitation, energy and local economic development. 

This is the design of SIPA's promotional brochure mad in English and Portuguese. The pattern design is taken from traditional Angolan sand art symbolism.

Town Hall meeting is an event for Impact Hub members to meet and discuss what is happening in their community. This is the Poster design for the first town hall meeting at IHZ.

During 2012-2013 the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) of the World Bank carried out an analysis of excreta management in 12 cities and developed new tools for assessing the context and outcomes relating to the flow of excreta through the city. This study aimed to provide a more comprehensive understanding of excreta management throughout the sanitation service chain.

Building on this work, a group of institutions active in the field of excreta management convened in June 2014 to further develop excreta flow diagrams (SFDs) and the service delivery assessment tool developed by WSP.

Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, a one-year project titled the SFD Promotion Initiative commenced in November 2014. This is being managed by GIZ under the umbrella of the Sustainable Sanitation Alliance (SuSanA) together with the project team CSE, Sandec/Eawag, UoL and WEDC

I was responsible for the branding of the project including all corporate identity and UX design.

Sandec / Eawag is the Department of Sanitation, Water and Solid Waste for Development. Their mandate is to develop and text methods that help the world's poorest access sustainable water and sanitation solutions. 

The department is divided into five groups. This is the icon design for these five groups, as well as brochure illustration and layout.

Vietnam Backpacker Hostels is an Australian run hostel chain with hostels located throughout Vietnam. The approached me to hand create a map for use in their two Hanoi hostels. After six months of exploring the beautiful streets of Hanoi's Old Quarter, this map was created as a city guide for backpackers.

The map includes the two locations of the Vietnam Backpacker Hostels, the major sights of the city, transport, food/drink/party locations and few tips on how to get by in the crazy city.
